|The 2010 Tuck Tate Champion Jay Eccleton, CGCS|
Over 50 MiGCSA members came out on Tuesday September 21st for the 25th annual Tuck Tate Championship. The day started with a few scattered rain showers but cleared up in time for the group to head out on to the Robert Trent Jones Masterpiece. Thank you MiGCSA Board member Scott Pulaski for hosting this event. And special thanks to the entire staff at Treetops for the great service.
Congratulations to Jay Eccleton, CGCS for taking home the low net trophy with a score of 79 on the challenging layout. John Fulling CGCS took home the low gross trophy. And the team of John Kulka, Dave Creager, Steve Goike and Rob Steiger won the low net best two of four with a score of 129. Dr. Joe Vargas took home the closest to the pin honors on #6, and there were 13 skins out. Great playing from all the attendees in tough windy conditions.
After the event Dr. Vargas spoke to a full house about life after PCNB. The presentation was full of useful and timely information as everyone prepares to apply their snow mold protection across the state.
