2020 Heritage Scholarship is Open
Application Deadline is November 15thThe Heritage Scholarship is an award of up to $1,500 that is offered through the Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association. The award is available to the dependents of our active members who are enrolled in a post high school education curriculum.Funding for this scholarship is provided by the proceeds from the 2020 Fundraisers.
The Northern at Forest Dunes, Western Golf Day at Kalamazoo C.C. and the Big Event at Indianwood.

The Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association is pleased to again offer the Heritage Scholarship. The award is available to dependents of current members of the MiGCSA in good standing pursuing a degree at a post-secondary educational institution as a full-time student during the next academic year. Each award recipient can be awarded up to $1,500.00.

Eligibility
• One or more of the applicant’s parents or step-parents must be a current member of the MiGCSA in good standing.
• The student must be attending a post-secondary educational institution as a fulltime student during the next academic year.
• The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

Criteria for Selection
• Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement, essay content and application presentation.

Application Process
• Students must complete and submit the application form and provide the following documentation.
• Transcripts from high school and all post-secondary schools attended. Transcripts do not need to be official copies.
• Typed essay (750 word minimum)
• Letter of acceptance to post-secondary school.
• All applications must completed by November 15th.
• Application forms incomplete or missing information will not be considered.
• All information will be verified for award recipients.
• All names will be removed before the scholarship committee receives them to maintain anonymity. Please try to maintain anonymity in the application as well whenever possible.
