Apsey wins MiGCSA State Championship

The Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association (MiGCSA) has a new State Champion. On August 29th MiGCSA Members came to Hawk Hollow Golf Club in Bath, MI to compete in the 10th annual MiGCSA State Championship. The host Superintendent at Eagle Eye is Jeff Zeman along with host MiGCSA Members Steve Fiorillo, David Elliot, Adam Hahn, Rafael Morales and Michael Rabe

The event started at 10:00 with the threat of rain and perfect conditions. Defending State Champion Dr. Kevin Frank from Michigan State University was on hand to defend his title. In the end Jim Apsey, Equipment Manager at Spring Lake Golf Club took home his first title with a 75. The 2018 Low Net Champion was Jim Priebe the Superintendent at Whispering Willows.
