    Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club home of the Ally Challenge Senior PGA Tournament is looking for an Assistant Superintendent.  The Assistant position works closely with the Superintendent and fellow Assistant Superintendent and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the grounds facility.  The ideal candidate would be someone looking for a career Assistant position, or one day becoming a Superintendent.  Warwick Hills offers the unique and rare opportunity for the right candidate to gain first hand experience hosting a PGA event and maintaining a PGA level golf course.

    Job Description:


    • In charge of hiring the maintenance staff to meet the seasonal needs of the grounds department
    • Supervise and schedule staff and all aspects associated on a day-to-day basis
    • Responsible for the training and close follow up of all staff, assuring proper operating procedures are being implemented
    • Willing and able to apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed
    • Must have strong organizational skills, organized thought, planning, instructing, and supervising abilities
    • Strong observational and problem solving skills with the ability to manage a 20+ person crew on a daily basis
    • Ability to respond positively, and adjust quickly to unexpected changes
    • Ability to inspire and lead employees during adverse weather/event conditions
    • Ability and willingness to work split shifts and modified second shifts as Superintendent deems necessary
    • Minimum 2 year turf degree or equivalent experience (2-3 years of turf management experience as an assistant).  Recent turf degree graduates encouraged to apply
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must possess a valid drivers license and applicators license(3A, 3B, 5, 6) These must be accomplished within the first 30 days of employment
    • Ability to be on call two weeks out of the season for our Men\'s invitational and the Ally Challenge Senior PGA event
    • Willingness to work the hours needed to accomplish the task at hand
