Bent Grass/Poa Greens, Blue grass Tees and Fairways
The Assistant Superintendent will be working closely with the Head Superintendent and taking over the Head Superintendents position in 2022.
The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the successful operation of the Golf Course Maintenance Department and Clubhouse Grounds Maintenance.
The superintendent works closely with the General Manager on a daily basis, as well as the Head Golf Professional and Golf Shop Staff to maximize the number of rounds of golf played by scheduling maintenance practices around public play, golf outings and league play.
Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
3-5 years in Golf Course Maintenance Management
Licensed pesticide applicator with the State of Michigan
Willing to work at continuing education
Minimum 2 year Degree required in Turf Grass
Team player with the ability to form good relationships with employees and guests
Provides agronomic direction to maintain the golf course at the highest quality possible at all times
Programs for turf/grass, material and chemical maintenance.
Prepares an annual budget and achieves the financial goals throughout the year, through proper forecasting, expense controls and labor management.
Operation and repair of Irrigation and Drainage system.
Willing to work flexible hours including weekends.
Responsible for hiring, training and developing all staff
Assist in Maintenance of Equipment.
