Zehnder's of Frankenmuth is a four seasons resort that includes dining, shopping, hotel, waterpark, and golf. The Fortress was designed by renowned architect Dick Nugent and opened in 1992. The 6,840 yard par 72 championship golf course has 70 bunkers and is surrounded by rolling fescue covered hills with bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways.
Under the supervision of the golf course superintendent the assistant helps direct and participates in the grounds maintenance of the course, restaurant, hotel, and additional properties.
1. Assists in the scheduling and supervising of daily course setup, directs crew members, and equipment for efficient completion of these tasks.
2. Operates and calibrates spreaders and sprayers for the purpose of applying fertilizers and pesticides.
3. Participates in the operation of the pump station as well as operation and maintenance of the irrigation system and its controls.
4. Assists in personnel management and evaluations, employee safety, and disciplinary actions.
A successful candidate will be someone who is motivated and passionate about golf course management, well organized, possess leadership qualities, and demonstrate a professional manner at all times. Candidates Must have obtained a degree in turf management or related field of study along with three years of relevant work experience showing increased responsibility. Must have a state pesticide applicator's license, a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age and have the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
