The MiGCSA has been in close communication with the other members of the Michigan Golf Alliance which is comprised of the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM), Greater Michigan Club Managers Association (GMCMA), Michigan Golf Course Association (MGCA), Michigan PGA & Michigan Turfgrass Foundation (MTF) to try to provide all of our members with the latest information regarding COVID-19 and the impact on the golf industry in Michigan.

Thank you to our friends over at the Michigan Golf Course Association for the following alert.

A new executive order today at 11am was released by Governor Whitmer placing temporary restrictions on the use of places of public accommodation.  The temporary restriction would begin today at 3pm and continue until March 30, 2020 at 11:59pm.

The most recent executive order, with 3a and 3b outlines places of public accommodation, public amusement and reference to golf.  Also note 1h, the second paragraph where it does not prohibit employees, vendor, contractors, or suppliers to enter in a professional capacity.

Michigan Golf Course Association has been working with the Small Business Association of Michigan government affairs team to clarify the language from the administration..

The government directives are subject to change.  We have a link on to access all of the executive orders.
