Published on 9/20/2025
Kevin Gawronski, MGCA Member & Events Engagement Coordinator, and Mike Morris, CGCS, MGCA Registered Apprenticeship Project Manager, presented a $12,000 grant check to Boyne Golf on August 27.

The award recognized the successful enrollment of three apprentices: Charles Swanson, Ralph Horn, and Gavin Sheehan.

Success Story With Registered Apprenticeship

“We are proud to share that three individuals have successfully completed the program, with three more currently enrolled.

This achievement has elevated the standards of our golf courses, as the combination of formal education and dedicated mentorship provides apprentices with both real-world experience and valuable knowledge from their coursework.

Together, these elements ensure our teams are well-prepared to deliver excellence on and off the course.”

As part of this award, each of BOYNE’s apprentices will receive two $500 gas cards to help offset commuting costs. This will ensure transportation is never a barrier to completing training.
