Success Story With Registered Apprenticeship
“Prior to Carter starting his MGCA apprenticeship, his primary turf knowledge was from lawn care maintenance.
Using the apprenticeship model, he was able to utilize his lawn care maintenance skills along with the on-the-job training to grasp the knowledge needed to maintain a golf course.
The educational videos from the GCSAA allowed Carter to expand his golf course maintenance knowledge beyond the physical maintenance need to care for a golf course.”

As part of this award, Carter Osborn will receive two $500 gas cards to help offset commuting costs. This will ensure transportation is never a barrier to completing his training.
