EAST LANSING, MI – The Michigan Section PGA elected new officers for a two year term at the Association’s Annual Fall Meeting attended by over 160 Michigan PGA Members. The meeting was held October 20, 2025 at Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing, Michigan.
Dan Urban, Director of Golf at Gull Lake Country Club in Richland Michigan, takes over as the Association’s President. Urban, a member of The PGA of America since 2012, has been the Director of Golf at Gull Lake Country Club since 2016 and will succeed the Section's first female President, Stephanie Jennings.
Jeff Rachar, of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, has been elected Vice President. Rachar, a member of The PGA of America since 2003, has been the Head Golf Professional at Oakland University since 2024.
Ward Sutton, of Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has been elected Secretary. Sutton, a member of The PGA of America since 2004, has been the General Manager at Kent Country Club since 2021.
Stephanie Jennings, a member of The PGA of America since 2007, is the Director of Instruction at Whole Golf since 2024, and will succeed Dean Kolstad, of Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort, as Honorary President.
“The Association is fortunate to be able to utilize Dan, Jeff and Ward's expertise going forward. This group of officers is dedicated to working with the Board of Directors to serve the needs of the entire membership,” said Kevin Helm, Michigan PGA Executive Director.
The Michigan PGA and its 900 members and associates serve the Michigan golf community by promoting the game of golf and overall vitality of the game.
