If you are interested in serving on the MiGCSA Board of Directors please complete the entire nomination form. All of the information entered on this form will be sent to all active MiGCSA Members with voting rights. All nominees will have a chance to review the slate of candidates and their submission before it is sent to the membership.
The deadline for this application is January 31st.
Article III, Section 5 Rights of Membership:
Except as otherwise provided herein, members of MiGCSA shall have all of the rights of membership. These rights shall include the following:
(a) Use of the Association name, initials, and logo are subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
(b) Attendance at the annual meeting of the Association.
(c) Eligibility to vote if a Class AA, A, B, C, EM, AFF and R Member.
(d) Eligibility to be a Director if a Class A, B, C, EM, and AFF.
(e) Eligibility to be an Officer if a Class A or Class B.
Article VII, Section 3b Election of Directors:
The Board of Directors shall be composed of the remaining elected members, who shall be elected by ballot and a plurality vote. The Board of Directors shall be composed of (3) members from each region and (3) at large positions from any region, their terms shall run three years starting immediately after the Annual Meeting, and until their successors are elected and qualified and shall perform the duties hereinafter prescribed for each Director, up to three (3) consecutive terms are allowed per Director position. These regions will be split along US-127 for the West and East until it crosses the northern border of Isabella County. The North region will start at the northern county lines of Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Midland & Bay Counties.
Other Election Qualifications:
All officers and a majority of the entire Board of Directors shall be GCSAA Class A or Class B Members. All board members must be full time residents in the State of Michigan.
There are three total director positions available in this cycle, one of the positions have an incumbent board member that will be running to retain their seat. Seth Britton, Class A at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa will be running to retain his At Large position.
The other two open positions are also At Large.
