Elk Rapids, MI — Jan. 8th, 2026 Heritage Landscape Supply is pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Davis as Territory Manager, serving Northern Michigan and surrounding regions. In this role, Gene will specialize in the golf, lawncare, and sports turf markets supporting the company’s expansive customer base and continued brand growth.
Gene brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience in golf course and turfgrass management, along with a strong reputation for service, leadership, and relationship building within the industry. His appointment reflects Heritage Landscape Supply’s continued investment in knowledgeable professionals who understand the evolving needs of golf and turf customers.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Gene earned a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Management. He began his career in the golf and turf industry at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, where he managed 36 holes of the resort’s 54-hole golf operation. In 2015, Gene accepted the role of Head Golf Course Superintendent at the Elk Rapids Golf Club and soon thereafter assumed the additional responsibilities of General Manager, overseeing all inside and outside golf operations.

Davis resides in Elk Rapids, Michigan with his wife of 21 years, Carissa, and their three sons, Jackson, Graham, and Rhett.
