While our pros will be representing Motor City Golf Club in TGL and WTGL, we know that there are tons of amateur golfers throughout the 313 and beyond who would love a shot to prove they have what it takes to represent the Motor City.
That's why we're creating the Motor City Golf Club Champs - a real competition for any golfer to compete and earn a title and be etched into the Club record books. MCGC Champs will be a year-round competition where the reigning team has to defend their title, but we need a way to find our first winners!
Motor City Golf Club has partnered with Carl’s Golfland, Saint John’s Resort, and the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) to host what is going to be a great day of golf. On September 12th, we're hosting an Open Tryout to crown the inaugural MCGC Champs – a team of the three best players on that day, male or female.
Registration is OPEN NOW for those golfers ready to take a shot at claiming their spot on the team. Entry is free to anyone with the confidence to come out and swing a club or stroke a putt, but success is not guaranteed!
The Tryout will include a qualifying Skills Challenge stage, and the top 12 scorers will proceed into a Knockout Competition until we find our three Champs! But be forewarned – heavy is the head that wears the crown. The winners will need to defend the title in the future.
