Effective right before the holidays, AJ Rings was promoted to Western Michigan Turf Equipment Manager, and on February 4th AJ will start his 20th year as an employee of Spartan Distributors. AJ started with the golf irrigation division and later became a commercial territory manager covering multiple counties in Western and Northern Michigan. AJ was a graduate of the MSU Turfgrass Program and has a strong background in turfgrass management as well as working on two different golf courses before coming to Spartan.
Joe Ettawageshik has joined Spartan Distributors and will be taking over the majority of counties in Western and Northern Michigan that were originally covered by AJ. AJ will still be covering (7) counties in West Central Michigan. Joe is from Northern Michigan and has worked in the golf industry for 25 years, most recently as the Director of Grounds & Golf Course Maintenance at Lochenheath Golf Club. Joe obtained an associate degree from Northwestern Michigan College, Traverse City in 2003, a B.A. in Business Administration from Ferris State in 2010 and is a graduate of the Turfgrass Program from MSU in 2003 as well.
