    Juday Creek is an 18-Hole Championship Golf Course in Granger Indiana, minutes from The University of Notre Dame and conveniently located just off the Indiana Toll Road between South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart and just south of the Michigan state line.

    "The Creek", as it is affectionately known to regular players and members, is open to the public every day for play. Our course features bent grass tees, greens and fairways, 56 bunkers and 13-holes with water. There are 5-sets of tees to make the course fun for every level of golfer.

    Juday Creek has been awarded the National Player Development Award and was also honored as the Indiana Golf Course of the Year for Outstanding Management and Contributions to the Community.

    Job Description:

    Main Responsibility:  

    Manage, supervise, delegate and oversee the overall maintenance of the golf course grounds, practice areas and clubhouse facilities in order to maintain Juday Creek’s quality of excellence.  Supervise and participate in the maintenance and repair of golf course grounds equipment and irrigation system.   Participate as an active member of the Juday Creek management team.

    Specific management responsibilities include:  Recruit, hire, and interview, direct, review and communicate with all maintenance personnel. Train new and existing employees in job function, equipment operation, guest service standards and departmental information.  Monitor daily job performances of employees and ensure productivity.  Ensure that all equipment is used safely and correctly, and not abused. Oversee the maintenance of golf course equipment and golf carts by the mechanic.  Schedule and conduct safety and staff meetings.

    Specific administrative responsibilities include:  Chemical, irrigation, and fertilizer inventory and control.  Assist with budget preparation.  Communicate with outside contractors, vendors, visitors, county and state agencies.  Track and maintain expense records for course equipment, supplies and labor, as well as current inventory of equipment, maintenance schedules and replacement needs.  Maintain records of all work undertaken by maintenance, including maintenance, pesticide application, as well as plans, specs, and updating of drawings.  Preparation and execution of a Master Plan for continued course improvement.

    Requirements:

    Open to candidates with all levels of experience and/or education, including candidates looking for their first position as a superintendent or those with many years’ experience.  We will consider all applicants with necessary education and time spent as an assistant or just out of college.  Good leadership and staff management skills are key.  Knowledge of Rainbird Irrigation Systems is a plus.  The right candidate will have flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.  Ability to obtain appropriate Indiana Spray Licenses.
